Ray Metzker Draft 2
For my first draft, I received positive feedback about the dark darks in my photographs. This week, I tried to create even more contrast, more true to Metzker's photos. I tried to "cut" the frame with deep shadows. For my last draft, I focused a lot on storefronts and very head-on views on buildings, but for this draft, I explored more dynamic angles. Again, photos are similar to imitate Metzker's multi-frame work.
Pictorial Lines
This week, I was tasked to show different types of pictorial line in photos—leading lines, decorative lines, and arrangement of lines. This is my first composition series this year. It being my second year taking photography, I've done published a "Pictorial Lines" series before. I found this task easier this year, but I noticed that I faced similar issues. It was harder for me to find arrangments of lines and it was easier for me to find decorative lines. In other words, it was easier for me to find these lines, but harder to isolate them. I tried to find a scene then find lines within it, as opposed to the other way around, finding lines then finding the scene. Leading to subject Decorative Arrangement
