Ray Metzker Draft 1

Ray Metzker is characterized by heavy shadows, b&w, city settings, and multiframe. I produced the best photos when it was sunny out—prime time for shadows. I used the black and white filter and decreased the exposer to deepen these shawdows. The near-duplicates of photos mimick Metzkers multiframe layout.

  1. Nice work on your series Bethany. I really liked your images of plain buildings, like the library pictures. I enjoy the images with no subject more than having a subject, because I feel that it takes away from the great cityscape. Keep up the great work!

  2. I love the photos where shadows play a more prominent role, on the sides of buildings from trees for example. It gives more texture to the image. I also like some of the in motion shots, I'd like to see more of those with a moving subject and a still background.

  4. The dark theme of these photos do a great job of capturing the tone of Ray Metzker's photos. For many of these photos I can make a story in my head for what is being captured. I really like the silhouette photos, and I am curious to see what these photos would look like with multiple people in the frame.

  5. I really love these images and the shadows you portray in them. You were very successful with how shadowy your images are. I like how you didn't have too much light in your photos, but enough so your shadows can really pop in all of your images. Great job
